Join SupportWise in Cirencester as an IT Apprentice and gain hands-on experience supporting real businesses. This role is ideal for someone looking to start a career in IT, working across service desk support, hardware, and Microsoft technologies.

  • Salary: £8.50 per hour (competitive for apprenticeship level)
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

What You’ll Be Doing

As part of the SupportWise team, you’ll be working directly with clients and learning how a managed IT service operates day to day.

  • Acting as the first point of contact for IT support queries via phone and occasionally in person
  • Logging, managing and updating service desk tickets clearly and accurately
  • Diagnosing issues and either resolving or escalating where required
  • Delivering consistent, high-quality customer service
  • Supporting Microsoft Windows desktop environments
  • Managing Active Directory tasks such as password resets and user account updates
  • Assisting with hardware setup, installation and maintenance
  • Configuring wireless controllers and access points
  • Maintaining internal documentation to company standards

What You’ll Learn

Most of your apprenticeship will be hands-on, giving you real experience across core IT support areas:

  • Service desk processes and client communication
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving in live environments
  • Microsoft 365 and Windows support
  • Networking basics and hardware configuration
  • Working within a managed IT services provider supporting multiple businesses

  • Willingness to learn and develop technical skills quickly
  • Interest in IT support, systems and troubleshooting
